Outlook lost mail, but it's in my Entourage cache...

For some unknown reason, when I logged onto my PC this morning, Outlook showed nothing... folders are there, but with nothing in them. My calendar is empty. New e-mails or events show up, but everything else is gone. IT confirmed that all for some reason my files were wiped out.

When I'm on Entourage, however, the old files are still there. If I clear the cache on Entourage, I'll end up with whatever is in Outlook, which isn't what I want.

How can I get the messages and whatnot still on my Entourage account to somehow sync and be uploaded to my Outlook account?

I would make a copy of your database in the Finder just in case before you
do anything.

Next I would copy messages to folders "On My Computer". The Exchange experts
will be able to help getting them back on the server.

1. Disconnect your Mac machine from the network
2. Export the emails in .rge of MBOX format
3. Now take a backup of your Entourage database
4. Create a new identity and connect Entourage to your mailbox and allow it
to sync completely
5. Import the file back in this new identity. Once done you can see your
emails in local database (under folders on my computer)
6. Now move your emails in batches to your exchange and this will sync the
emails back to your mailbox on the server

Hope this helps
thanks,
Pawan
