Outlook not saving sent emails in the sent items folder

I did the following and it was already "checked". Make sure the option is set in Tools-> Options-> tab Preferences-> button E-mail Options...-> option Save copies...

What else could it be?

What version of Outlook is this? If it is Outlook 2003 never have any folder selected when you are replying or sending a message other then the Inbox. Try that and tell me if you get the same behavior.
