Outlook password issues...

After having set up outlook I find that there seems to be a password issue
with the email account. Outlook will not save it! I have tried deleting the
account and resetting it, and even as far as uninstalling and reinstalling
the suite again, still same issue. Checkdisk shows no errors. Odd thing is
that this happens with xp pro and 2003 pro as well. Have tried both...
Could this be a virus that none of my sanners are picking up on? Help
Please!!!

I Found the answer that worked for me!

All of the registry stuff posted did not work. 3 days and long nights

Try the following.

Go to the following listed folders (via explore or my computer) - one at a
time - right click on the folder, go to properties and untick the "Read Only"
button. Click "Apply" and then "apply changes to this folder, subfolders and
files" and then OK. Do this for:

C:\Program Files
C:\Documents and Settings
and finally
C:\Windows

Do not Fear changing this from Read Only this as these will go back to "Read
Only" when you restart the PC. BUT be sure to configure your Outlook sign in
thingy first.
