Outlook.pst

My outlook.pst is at 2.065+gig, which appears to not allow
the file to be repaired using scanpst.exe. I am unable to
open the person folders to delete/clean out messages to
reduce the size to allow the scanpst.exe to run and am
stuck in a loop. Is there a way to allow access to the
folders to delete/clean the emails.

Do people NEVER archive or delete old emails?

You would be surprised, or maybe not, that people actually use the deleted
items folder for storage! Getting them to empty it is like pulling teeth -
until you ask them if they keep their lunch in the trash too, for
safekeeping.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the SWEN virus, all mail sent to my personal account will be deleted
without reading.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, Rifleman asked:
