Outlook Reinstall

I believe I have had virus corrupt my Outlook. It is replicating files
hundreds of times, I can't move files from one folder to another and ti will
not recieve. I believe I have stopped the virus but I need to restore
Outlook. May I reinstall Outlook onto itself and wtill have my message files
intact?

Reinstalling often doesn't change the problem files. First, try running the
Inbox Repair Tool against your .PST file with Outlook closed (search your
hard drive for a file called scanpst.exe). Let the tool make a backup copy
of your file before it makes any changes.

If that doesn't work, you can try creating a new mail profile from scratch.
This can be done via Control Panel | Mail | Show Profiles.
