Outlook Send/Receive Permission

I recently opened Outlook to check my emails and when I clicked the
Send/Receive tab I was prompted with the following message: " You don't have
the appropriate permission to perform this operation". I have been running
this program for two years and have never had an issue like this before. I
cannot find any help on this matter.
Any help in fixing this would be great!
