Outlook send/receive

I use outlook to check my POP(Optimium Online) email.
When I click send/receive, the newest mail doesn't show
up. It worked a few weeks ago. I installed all of Office
from a cd(not an actual program cd, but a cd that someone
put the Office programs on).

Please help. Any help would be appreciated.

Could be because of built in anti-piracy feature. Office cannot be shared
with friends.
