Outlook Won't Ope;n

I have 2 users....me and my son.....my outlook express will not open (it
freezes) but my son's opens. I had to config his in order to send and
receive. BUT all the messages I have received before I did that are still
in limbo on the other one. I hope I have explained that ok..
What happened to mine and can I get it back???
