ummm.... what do you mean by systems tray? where do i
look for that information?

Also, other symptom... besides just not closing, my
Outlook runs extremely slow. but just outlook.

The system tray is the portion of the menu that includes the clock and the
items that run at start up. You said outlook is running slow try typing
outlook /safe from Start-Run.. most likely some add-ins causing some
problems
