Sometimes an outgoing email message will show as not sent by remaining in the
out box, when in reality it has been sent. What can I do to prevent that from
occuring?

Disable your outgoing and incoming virus checking.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After furious head scratching, roberto asked:
