Outlook2000 100% CPU

We are using MS Outlook 2000 /SP3 with Pop Mail Accounts.
The pst file is about 700MB big.
The problem is, when I`m opening Outlook and the reminders
pop up, the cpu usage is 100%.(only when the reminders are
up).when we`re closing the reminders the cpu is still on
100%.
Do you have any ideas? Please let us know.
