OWA and firewall

I have a setup as follows:

OWA 2003 server <-> Firewall A <-> [Internet] <-> Firewall B <-> My computer

I have port 80 on firewall A forwarded to my OWA server, limited to certain
IP addresses only (i.e. mine).

My setup on firewall B is to allow all traffic over standard ports (i.e.
DNS, HTTP, HTTPS, TELNET, SMTP etc.) from the internal interface to the
external, and from the external interface to the internal, only traffic over
port 25 (SMTP) is allowed.

My problem is I cannot get into my OWA mailbox properly using the config on
firewall B. I get the prompt to log in, then it half-loads my mailbox (I can
see the folders), then after approx 1 minute, it prompts for my
username/password again. At this point it keeps prompting for my
username/password, again and again. The only way to fix this is to set up a
rule on firewall B to allow *all* traffic from internal interface to the
external. This is not a long-term solution as I don't want to allow my users
to use messenger etc.

What I don't understand is that firewall A is only ever allowing traffic
over port 80, regardless of the setup on firewall B.

Has anyone here experienced this before?

Thanks,
df
