I have a questions about page formats, i now that the page can be
formated to make columns by going to "Format/Colums" my question, is
it possible in any way to make the same to rows instead of colums. Any
help is appreciated. Thanks....

I don't understand the concept of what you are wanting. Do you want
full-length lines, but every so often a gap between the lines?

For example, open a new document, click on the format then columns
then choose 3 columns, now the doucment has 3 columns. I need the same
only instead on columns I need rows. Is this possible. I would be
usimg this page format for mail merge. Thanks

So you want lines grouped in threes, say, or fours? Why don't you just put
an extra carriage return every third line? Would this not do what you want?
It's the concept of what you want that I'm struggling with!

No, my main objective is to have word merge my data in row order
instead of columns. when word merges my data in columns the top left
becomes #1 the bottom of that becomes #2 and so on, I want the data be
merged in rows so that the top left becomes #1, right to it becomes #2
and so on. thanks.

If you put each line into a table cell, or even put a carriage return at the
end of each line, you should be able to achieve this.
