Page Up/Page Down Keys

How can I change the Page Up/ Page Down keys to actually move a complete page
up or page down in Word 2000?

They can be reassigned but the keyboard shortcut is Ctrl + PgUp/PgDown
to navigate a full page.

If that's not what you want then:

- Go to Tools/Customize
- Click the Keyboard command
- In the Categories list select "All Commands"
- On the right locate "GoToNextPage" and select it
- In the "Press new shortcut key" text box press the PgDn
- Click Assign

Then locate "GoToPreviousPage" and assign it to PgUp.

Thank you, that is exactly the right answer. I finally figured that out
about 1/2 hour ago between a co-worker and myself. Ctrl + PgUp/PgDown in my
system wants to delete the remainder of the page. I am a former Word Perfect
user and have the keyboard configured for that.

Glad to hear it's what you were looking for. :)

Do you actually use the old WP keyboard shortcuts? If you are using
the Tools/Options/General, "Navigation keys for WP users" then these
are for old DOS versions of WP. If you ever get tired of confirming
deletes and such then turn both of the WP options off.

btw, I really *am* interested in knowing if you are still actually
using them so I hope to hear back from you.
