Could you please explain your real problem?
What is your OS, Pub Version, Number of pages in your booklet, what is the
order that is wrong/

Publisher creates booklets in groups of four, if you have any other grouping the
pages may become out of order.

I'm using Vista, Publisher 2007.
I've created a program booklet with 88 pages. My cover page has now become
page 6, page 2 is now page 8. This is an alphabetical listings of names and
information and this has happend three times. I've manually moved the pages
to the correct position but am wondering what I am doing wrong to cause the
problem. Thanks for your help.

If you had setup your publication as a booklet from the beginning, Publisher
will not change positions of the pages arbitrarily.
How are you moving the pages? Are you deleting a page and then adding a new one?
Are you moving the page sort tabs around? Did you do a catalog merge to get the
alphabetical list or did you type the list manually?

Mary, I manually entered the information. I started the booklet by inserting
82 pages, guessing I would need at least that many pages. It's happend twice,
so I am wondering if I am hitting a key inadvertantly--and if there is an
easier way to get the pages back in order instead of cutting and pasting the
information. Thanks again for your help.

I don't believe you hit a wrong key. When you originally setup your booklet the
page count was 82, not a four grouping. Publisher tries to keep the booklet in
the correct order.

If you create linking text boxes the list will always be okay even though you
will have moved the pages around. You can move the text boxes around, the list
will stay intact.
