Password - remember

I have outlook 2000 and Windows XP. I cannot save my
password. I have tried the following steps several times.

Outlook
Tools
Account
Properties
Servers
Enter password and check remember password

Is there another step that needs to be done? I also
cannot save my password in Outlook Express.

Can some help?

I use XPPro and upgraded Outlook from 2000 to XP.
The trix described in >

do not help (not me anyway)
What can be done ??
