Passwords to log into email

I am using Outlook as my default email. I have an earthlink account and all emails sent to my earthlink account go to Outlook. However when I close down Outlook and then restart it to check my emails I have to reenter my earthlink password, even though I always check the "save my password box". is there any way of having this actually work?

Suggest you go to Earthlink's web site where they document/publish how
to configure Outlook, and check again that you've done it to match their
requirements.
