Paste v. Paste Special for inserting jpeg into Word 2002

I was following another thread and posted this question but it wasn't
answered; perhaps it got lost.
Anyway, I recently installed SP2 for Windows XP Pro, plus the jpeg security
update. Previously I was able to copy/paste a jpg image from a website into
a Word document. Now I get the hyperlink coding without the image. When I
followed the earlier suggestion to do a Paste Special, it worked, but the
document was 2x the original size - the Paste Special inserted the picture as
a BMP file, whereas a simple Paste previously gave me a jpg file. This only
started happening after I installed the recent updates. Is there any way to
restore the original functionality so I can go
back to simple pasting?

To see the picture instead of the hyperlink, press Alt+F9. And the usual
reason for getting a .bmp instead of a .jpg is that you need to clear your
cache. In Control Panel | Internet Options, click Delete Files... on the
General tab.
