Pasted Links and Subprojects

I'm using Project 2003 Standard and have a master project with subprojects.
The subprojects have pasted links from an Excel spreadsheet. When I open the
master project it does not update the subproject links. Additionally, the
Edit->Links selection is grayed out. How do I update the subproject links
without having to open each and every subproject individually (there are 10
of them so it will be very tedious if this is the only solution).
