Pasting dates into word

Hi, I'm pasting dates into a word from a database (not mail merge) and need
them in the format dd-mmm-yyyy. There has been a suggestion to change the
system setup to the desired format, however this has been done with no
effect on the format once pasted into the word doucment. Any suggestions.

Hi Gerald,

You'd need to have the dates in the database displayed in the required
format for your paste to achieve the desired result.

Hi Macropod, I've tried that and it does display in the desired format,
however when selected it reverts to dd-mm-yy, any other ideas?
