Pasting relative predecessors in an existing schedule

I am working with several large project files in which I need to update
repeated tasks to many "machines". The updates include changes to the
durations of these tasks (which you can easily copy and paste between the
machines) and changes to the predecessors.
This where I need assistance. I am using Project 2003 in a large
corporation, so have no ability to upgrade if that is the solution. So, what
I am looking to do is update one set of tasks for a machine and then copy
those changes relatively to the next machines, so the tasks stay linked
inside those machine tasks. Otherwise, I am going to have to go through each
schedule and manually update all of the links to get things correct.
Thanks for the support.

Hi,

The links inside the group of copied tasks will be intact, i.e. they will be
renumbered when the group of tasks is pasted.
Links to tasks outside the group do not get pasted and have to be redone,
sorry.
Definitely pay attention to tools, options, schedule "autolink inserted or
moved tasks". May be exactly what yoiu want but could also be a PITN.
