PDF Downloads

Can anyone tell me where I can go for a tutorial or instructions on learning
how to put a .pdf on my website for download. I know I have to convert the
file to .pdf and most likely I will buy Adobe 8 for that.

However, how/where can I learn the code necessary to have it download from
my website?

Thanks for your help.

No code is needed. If you want the user to be prompted for download rather
than having the pdf open in their browser if they have Acrobat Reader, all
you do is .zip the pdf and create a hyperlink to the file within your fp
website and then publish it.

If you're using XP you can zip a file by right clicking on the file (or
folder) select Send To... the Compressed (zipped) folder (or words to that
effect)

You don't necessarily have to buy Acrobat 8 (although it's excellent) unless
you want to do fancy stuff (like fillable forms) you can use one of the free
pdf creators...like CutePDF, PrimoPDF and theres several other ones as well.

Yer welcome.
If you have the need and can justify the cost, Acrobat 8 Pro is
terrific...otherwise the free ones are pretty good.
