I have a picture saved as a watermark in Word and I want to save it in
Picture Manager so that I can import it as a background in PowerPoint. How
can this be done?

You don't have to save it in Picture Manager.

In Word, choose File/Save as HTML. Make sure you choose HTML and not MHTML
(single file web page).

You'll end up with an HTML file and a bunch of extra files in a folder. Your
picture will be in the folder. You can copy/move it to another folder if you
want. Then you can delete the HTML file and supporting folder.

In PPT, go to Insert/Picture/From File, navigate to the folder where the
picture now lives, and choose the picture.
