POP from Yahoo, downloading all emails repeatedly

Entourage 2008, set for POP from yahoo's bizmail server, and is downloading all messages-read or unread-every time it starts. Over 6000 messages...

There is a button to push that says "Get all messages left on server...", but that button has not been pushed.

I want to leave the mail on the server and only get the new ones. Has anyone seen this problem?

BTW, patched to latest levels. I'm new to Entourage and Mac, so I'm at a loss here.

We aren't seeing reports from other Yahoo users about this problem. What you
are describing usually only happens if there is some type of server burp or
you have rebuilt your Entourage database.

Are you using "online access?" Have you considered switching from POP to
IMAP?

I would create a folder using your web browser and move the older emails out
of the Inbox. Until you figure out what is going on, this would eliminate
the huge downloads.

To get rid of duplicates use one of the scripts to remove duplicates.
