populate a table from excel

I have a 4 column spreadsheet and a six column table in
Word. I would like to be able to copy individual rows
from the spreadsheet and paste it into the table,
populating the first four columns.
Right now, the only way I can get that done is by copying
individual cells and pasting as nested table.

Please tell me of a better way.
