PowerPoint 2003 and sound

After inserting sound on 3rd slide....slide won't advance. I have set it to
play thru 26 slides and to play automatically. Any help appreciated.

In effect options set the sound to stop playing after 999 slides (the extra
slides wont matter)
Make sure that you have ticked auto transition after 0 secs in the slide
transition pane

Are there any other animations on the slide?

Have done both of those things . As to animations...yes, scrolling text.

In slide show > set up show is "all" selected in show slides?

If yes maybe you could email me the slide and I'll have a look. If the sound
isn't embedded then make sure you send it too.
