PowerPoint opening in a different font on different computers

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) I am creating a PowerPoint presentation template to be used on both PC & Mac. Not sure why the font changes when it is opened on a computer that doesn't have that font loaded on it. It doesn't seem to be a Mac/PC issue because it open fine on both computers if that font is loaded. Is there a way to embed the font?

No, font embedding is not supported. For presentations (as well as Word
documents & most other files) which are expected to display on different
systems it's best to stay with fonts that are reasonably universal.

And you're right -- it isn't a Mac/PC issue. If the exact fonts used aren't
installed on the system displaying the file font substitution is used
regardless of whether the file originated from the same program and/or
operating system. The sub may or may not be acceptable.
