PowerPoint Presentations Show Illustrator Files as red box with X

My PowerPoint Presentations are now suddenly showing up
with red boxes where my imported Adobe Illustrator files
once were. Some of these are graphics and others are text
field, but all are imported from Illustrator(Mac). I am
working in XP Pro. Everything was fine before, but
something changed! Can someone please help?
