Powerpoint shuts down

I have a power point presentation that shuts down every time I try to make a
change to a slide. I tried to run the detect and repair and it did not help.
Next I cleaned out my temp files. It did not help. So next I e-mailed it to
someone else to see if it worked on their machine and it did they could make
all the changes they wanted. So then I tried to open a different presentation
and make changes on my machine and it let me. Than went back to the same file
and it shut down again. I even tried copying the slides from the preset ion
and put they in a new presentation that did not work. Can you please help me
with this situation? I am runing office XP

What's on the slide and what are you trying to change? In other words, tell us
step by step what is happening and what messages you receive, etc.

It Does not give me any errors. It just shuts down any time you try to change
any thing such as the spelling of a word are move the slides around. Another
words I can not do nothing to the presintation besides open it.

From what you've said, it sounds like it is specific to this particular
presentation. Can you save the presentation as a Web Page and then open the
generated HTML? Sometimes that will clear out any possible corruption that may
be developing. See:

HTML "Round-tripping" to repair corruption

Mike,

By "NO" do you mean that you can't save it as HTML (that was Sonia's only
question in her post). While it is odd that it works on one machine and not
another and that other presentations work on the machine in question, a
corrupt presentation is the best answer so far. Following the round-tripping
instructions, is your best next move. If that doesn't work, write back and
will brainstorm other ideas.
