Powerpoint Upgrade

I have just purchased a new PC which comes with Microsoft
Office 2003 basic edition. THe operating system is XP Home
Edition. I wish to purchase Powerpoint 2003 and would like
to know if this can be added to my Office 2003 basic, and
if I would qualify for an upgrade via Microsoft(or do I
have to pay the full rprice for this added software)
