PPT does not start

When I try to start Powerpoint in programs or by clicking
on a PPT file icon, I get a black screen and a blinking
cursor for a few seconds. Oowerpoint then disappears.

This is happening to me as well but if you go into task

manager you'll see the ppt.exe there. I think it's hung so
if you stop the process you can then open .ppt files or
the app itself. But unless you go back into task manager
you'll not be able to open a 2nd time. Has anyone seen
this before?
