No matter how much my presentation changes in size (number and size of
images, etc.) the file size never decreases. Is there a way to compact the
file when images are deleted?

Would be a great help, if you told us which version of PowerPoint your using,
and how you are saving your file

Thanks, turning off Fast Save did it. Should have thought of checking

Sorry, it's PP 2000, saving to Powerpoint. But the tip about Fast Save
solved it. Thanks.
