ppt project

[A Call]

I have a project that I created on my laptop computer, the file is a *.ppt
and when I copy this file to my desktop computer, I am getting an error that
states:
PowerPoint can't read <filename>

with 'preview' turned on..I can see the first slide of the show..I just
can't get it to open....
any ideas ? anyone?

Arlene,

sounds like the file has not copied across properly.

Try re copying the file using windows explorer from the laptop to the
desktop.

are you using the same version of powerpoint on both computers?
