PPTTools

Bob Phillips

I installed PPTTools, BIG mistake.

It worked fine in my main account, but in other accounts, I am getting an
error saying that I must grant read/write access to the RnR\PPTToolsv2
directory. Needless to say, I have.

So I tried to deactivate the addin. Still get that error in other accounts.

How do I remove this completely from my machine and get rid of all of these
problems?

TIA

Bob

Actually, I think its one of the best add-ins available for PPT. I suggest
you talk to the people that made it, I am certain they can help you.

Sorry you're having troubles with this, Bob.

I'm the author (though it'd be understandable if at this point you're
thinking "perpetrator"), and I'd be more than happy to either help you get
the addin working in your other accounts or delete it from all of them.
It'll be quicker to do it by email or phone than here, especially since the
server seems to be having problems at the moment.

Please mention which of the several PPTools add-ins you've installed, along
with your PowerPoint and Windows versions.

First, you might want to give this a look if, as I suspect, you're using
Vista:

What about Vista? How to install PPTools.

Short version: reinstall the addin but choose something other than the
default directory under \Program Files ... use a folder that you (under all
of your accounts) have read/write privileges to.
