Preparing to install

Every time we open Publisher 2002 (running on WXP Home
Edition) we get an installer message box
displaying "Preparing to Install .etc". The software then
seems to go through some sort of 'mini-install' before
opening up and running normally. It's more of an
annoyance than a problem but I'd like some help if
possible. Thanks.
