Prevent line wrap in online form text box

Q

quartz

I am using Office 2003 on Windows XP.

I have a document which I converted into an "online form" in which I have
added many text boxes. I know you can set the maximum length of the text
boxes, but I find it challenging to determine what setting to use to prevent
line wrapping.

How can I prevent the text boxes (most are in cells in tables) from
wrapping, but still allow the user to get the most in on one line? Is there
an easy way to determine the max length setting to keep the entry all on one
line?

Thanks much in advance.

Fix the cell dimensions to exact values.

Doug,

Thanks, but even though limited by the table cell widths, the fields still
wrap to the next line. Is there a table setting or other switch I'm missing?

Yes, the row height.

Thanks again Doug.

FYI, while awaiting your response I also discovered that you can select the
table cell, right click and select Table Properties, then activate the Cell
tab. Click the Options button, uncheck "Wrap Text" and check "Fit Text" and
this works.

More clicking around than just setting a row height, but it's always good to
know more than one method...thanks again for your assistance.
