Preventing accidental slide deletion

R

Rick Johnson

I modify a weekly presentation from a template that has content changes on
the same pages on a week to week basis. However, most of the pages are
static. Is there a way to "Lock" the static pages so they wont get
accidentally deleted - like I did this week?

I dont think theres a way of locking just some slides from deletion. What I
sometimes do is have two presentations - the unchanging slides and the
changing slides- Edit the changing slides and then insert them into the main
presentation which is then saved with a new name. That way I know I cant
destroy the main slides.

Hope that makes sense.

Try this handy add-in: http://skp.mvps.org/seqsave.htm

You can use it to save versions of your presention. I use it to save before
I get started, and then especially if I'm about the make any major changes to
it, like deleting slides.
