print a calendar (MSProject) for one resource?

I'd like to be able to print out a calendar for each resource on my project
so they can see, in a very familiar format, what task they are to be working
on any given day. The Gant chart is OK, but it is not a format that is as
filiar and comfortable to many as a standard calendar. Any ideas?

Hi Rennie,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

In Calendar view, use Project/Filtered for.../Using Resource.../select the
resource/OK. That will show only those tasks that the resources is working
on. You could also use Format Timescale/Date Shading/Show working time for:
and select the same resource to tailor make the calendar. Then print.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: http://www.mvps.org/project/

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)

This got me really close. Thanks. The only problem I have now is that the
calendar for the individual shows both the summary task and the sub task.
I'd like to show only the sub task for which they are responsible, but I
can't seem to find a way to filter out the summary.

Hi Rennie,
I've been working on something similar over the last few days. Here is what
I have come up with...

View -> More Views -> New -> Single View
Select Calendar as the screen type
Filter: "Using resource..."
Check the "show in menu" box if you expect to use it often

When you click on the calendar you just created, it asks which resource you
wish to display. You can either type it in, or select from the pull down
menu.

The way I've found to show only the subtasks is to:
Right click inside the calendar and go to "bar styles"
Click on task type "All" and choose your display options
Then go to task type "Summary" and choose the bar type as "none"
Now the summary won't be displayed, but the sub tasks are.

Hope this helps!

Works like a charm! Thanks.

Have you figured out how to get the resource name in the header or footer?
