Print Color Text in Black

Is there a setting that prints everything in Black and White (not grayscale)?
I have a document in Word 2003 that has color text and when I print it's a
lighter shade that doesn't copy well. I need my version to have color so
changing all the text to black isn't an option.

There is such a setting. In Tools > Options > Compatibility (an unfortunate
misnomer in this case), check the box next to "Print colors as black on
noncolor printers". The setting will apply only to the current document.
