Print page when revised

We currently have a Word form set up that contains check boxes on the first
page. We use these check boxes to identify which pages to print. (If
checkbox1 is checked, print page 1, checkbox2 prints page 2, checkbox3 prints
page 3, etc.) We recently received an additional request. If anything on page
2 is edited, they would like the checkbox2 to be checked so the revisions
will be printed.

Could anyone point me in the right direction on how to set this up?
Thanks in advance!

Hi,

You mentioned that you're using a Word form. In that case, I'm assuming that
you've protected your document and that the only changes a user can make on
page two is to the form fields. Therefore, for each formfield, you could
create an exit macro that ensures checkbox2 is selected.

If, however, you are not using a protected document and you want Word to
"sense" when a change is made on page 2, then you should probably tell the
additional request makers that, while it COULD be accomplish, it's not worth
it. I can't put my finger on a source right now, but here's a summary of what
it means to do something like this.

This is my paraphrase of what the experts have said about intercepting an
event like this:
You would force Word to pause after EVERY interaction.
Test that interaction to see if it affects page two.
As a result, Word would be so slow and bogged down that it wouldn't really
be usable.

HTH,
Dave
