Print settings different for Word and Outlook

When printing from MS Word, jobs hit HP Laser Jet printer as "Custom"
and require "Manual Feed" from tray #1. When printing from MS Outlook,
documents print automatically, correctly, from tray #2. Looking at
Page Setup in MS Word shows that the Paper Size should be "Letter",
but it is set as "Custom"; "Letter" is not on the list. All new
documents are also created as "Custom". I need to find out how to
restore the "letter" option, I guess, unless there is something else I
am overlooking in this ordeal. Thanks, Robert
