Print spooler problem

T

Terry Robson

When attempting to print documents in Publisher, it will
only print the first part of the page, then ejects the
page, draws up another, prints part of the document, so on
and so forth until the print job is done.

At one point, I got an error message something about a
spooler error. How do I fix this?

Thanks.

I usually get this problem when I have been doing too much (having
opened too many programs at once, lots of photo's etc) and rebooting
the computer will help.
Also perhaps your printerdrivers might need to be updated.

Terry how about giving some information that can assist with your issue!!!

What version of Windows, Publisher, brand, model and type of printer you are
using?

More than likely you are running out of printer memory.

I am using Windows 98se. I have an Epson 1520, Office
2000. I have also gone to the Microsoft page and gotten
all current updates for Office 2000.

Terry the problem you have is not with Publisher, but your printer driver.

See if Epson have a later version of the printer driver on their website.

If this was a laser printer you could be running out of memory.

We once had an Epson 1520 and it was a dog of a printer we were happy to
dump.
I would not be surprised if Epson have not updated the printer driver for
that model considering its age.
Canon are the only company that update all their drivers even for the old
model printers.

Yes, I have downloaded their "latest" driver. Worked for
a while, then the same problem returned.
