Print to file

When I hit print the printer dialog box comes up and I hit print "OK" and I
get the Print to File menu to save the document and it never does print. I do
not want to Print to file--I just want to print. What do I have to do to
change this back to what it previously was? It used to print when I hit print!

You need to remove the check mark from the print dialog box as seen in this
picture:

Just above the "Number of copies", there is a check box and this needs to be
cleared.

To get the print dialof box, you need to do: File, Print from the menu bar. Don't
use the print icon!

That box is unchecked. After I unchecked I checked it and there was no
change--when I hit the print button, it went to Print to file. So I rebooted,
brought up Word and hit the print from the menu and then hit OK (Print to
file box was unchecked) but it still brought up the Print to file save menu.
I compared the print screen with my husband's and it is the same Status Type
but under Where mine has FILE: and his has
WSD-4C08E208-6867-454E-BB61-8013734CF213.003A
Mike says this changes. Can you help me?

Have you set a default printer? You can check this by going to Start, Printers &
Faxes. See if you have any printers with a tick beside it like the on I have shown in
this picture:
