printer driver malfunction

I'm trying to print a job in Publisher 2003 and I get a popup saying that
Publisher failed to load the printer driver. The job was created in Publisher
'03 so it has not migrated from a previous version and this job has printed
before. I'm using a -Dell Photo 926 printer and -I have uninstalled and
reinstalled the software, updated the firmware and even changed the port all
to no avail. -The printer works, I printed a test page in -Word 2003 and had
no trouble. Has anyone else had this problem and if so whats the fix?

This was posted sometime ago, maybe it will help.
"Cannot Load Printer Driver" A workaround.(This is for folks with Dell Printers
or might work with other printers as well) Posted by Phil.

Go to settings, printer folder, add an HP IIP printer, set it as the
default.When in Publisher 2003 Go to file and print and select the Dell printer.

(A postscript, probably any printer you select as a default would work).
