Printing a page

I know this may be crazy, but I'd have a search form that display a table of
records from a database.

I would like to design this table so that it can be printed and so up half
way decent in computers that have IE on them.

Are all pixels equal? If so, about how many are in an inch?

Is this too difficult? If not where do I start?

It's the printers you have to be concerned with, so about 624 pixels is it.
