Printing Envelopes in Word

I am trying to print envelopes in Microsoft Word, but each time I place

the envelope in the feed tray and try to print, I receive an error
message. The message states that the wrong paper size is being used,
but I am using #10 size envelopes, the standard size. What do I do to
fix this problem? I have already set the right size for the envelope.

Which version of Word and which printer? My old HP 4L that
refuses to die only will take a few sizes of envelope thro a
special slot; namely Monarch 3.9 x 7.5, Comm 10 4.1 x 9.5, DL
4.3 x 8.7 and C5 6.4 x 9.
