Printing issue

After upgrading to XP every time I print a document I get a popup that informs me the document has printed. Is there any way of stopping this from occuring?

Any help will be appreciated.

Has printed or has been sent to the printer? I see this for some reason just
on certain specific documents. I haven't yet been able to figure out which
ones (possibly merge documents?).

Suzanne,

The message is sent after every docment is printed. It only began after my PC was upgraded to XP from 98.

Do you have background printing enabled? (Tools | Options | Print)

It's hard to know whether the message comes from Word or the printer driver.
It always flashes up so quickly for me that I don't have time to assess it.
In any case, I don't know the answer, but you might try posting in
microsoft.public.word.printingfonts.

Yes it is on.......I've tried printing both with it on and off and I still
continue to receive the message.

This may be a print server option.
In the printers window:
Click File>Server Properties
Inthe Server Properties Windows
Click Advanced and check to see if
'Notify when remote documents are printed' option is checked
