Printing Problem

I have publisher 2000, trying to print on a 5 x 8 index
card, the publication keeps getting cut off. any ideas?
I am using a deskjet printer.

That printer you have there has a 16mm bottom margin and about 8 to 10mm on
the top and sides.
This is a function of the printer and not Publisher. Publisher does not
determine the printing area, it is your printer.
Next time you buy a printer buy a decent brand like a Canon instead of a
printer from the lemon brand printer company HP.

No InstantExchange program in the UK? My i950 blew its power supply within
six months. Called Canon and they overnighted a refurbished unit to me.

Since without power I couldn't remove printhead and ink, they included new
ones of them as well! They even called me a week later to ensure I was
satisfied. I gave them 11/10.

Ah, I've just read the blurb (shouldn't have been so trigger happy!) I
couldn't do that anyway, I don't have a credit card (I paid for this by
Switch).

I need to replace my scanner (Perfection 1200U). It's done me proud for the
last eight years, but it's taking longer and longer to warm up (5-7 and
sometimes 10 minutes isn't unusual these days), so I'm looking at some of
the newer Perfections as they appear to be winning all the awards.
They never even asked me for all that stuff...just the serial number.

I did get the Canon LiDE80 scanner two months ago after seeing it at CES.
It's very fast. Does positives and negatives nicely too!

We have some Canon LiDE80 scanners and yes they are fast.

Canon turnaround here on warranty items is generally 24 hours across
Australia.
Canon, Mitsubishi, Acer and LG here are for service just the best.
I am looking at buying a new laptop and don't mind one of the HP/Compaq
units, but Acer and LG service is so damn good I am reluctant to change. I
think I will wait till I see an Acer model that suits my needs. Major
problem with a laptop, I still have to have a Serial port.

How can you live without a credit card. I could not think of not having a
credit card. Just phone up and pay by credit card. The whole estate runs
on payment by credit card and phone banking. So damn simple and easy, and
it is like having somebody else doing the accounting for you when the
statement comes in. Saves the staff so much time and bother and makes it
cheaper to buy things anywhere as they have estate credit cards for payment.
We never pay for personal fuel with all the free fuel we get from credit
card reward points.
