Problem receiving emails in Outlook

K

KSieloff

Hello all. I just bought a new computer and originally I had my email set up
in Outlook Express. I now have Office 2003 and would like to use Outlook for
my email program. I have made it my default email program and I am able to
send emails with no problems. However I am unable to receive emails. All
received emails go to my Outlook Express. Even when I run the email test the
email gets sent to Outlook Express. I know there is probably a simple easy
fix but I can't figure it out....help is appreciated.

Thanks

Kurt

Under Control Panel->Internet Options->Programs tab, change the default to
Outlook Express, then change it back to Outlook. Also, ensure that you have
your authentication set correctly under your email account server
properties. Many ISPs now require the client to authenticate before
receiving mail.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
