problem with custom headers/page numbering

Hi,

I'm using word 97 on win98se.
I have a doc thats going to be about 70 pages, and has two appendices.
The appendices will be numbered A-1..... and B-1.......
One appendix will only have gifs--one gif per page.

On the appendix that has the gifs, when I'm in page layout view, I'm having
difficulty trying to figure out how to place the page number in the right
hand corner, or the bottom of the first page of the appendix.
If I open the header/footer box, the box doesnt cover the area of the
printed result, where the actual page number needs to be.

If I use automatic page numbering, the scheme of numbering is not supported.

Basically I just captured a few screen shots, used Insert/From File and
pasted it onto
a blank page, then double clicked on it to adjust the size and location.

If the footer is not where you want it to be, you can change the footer
margin (Margins tab of Page Setup), but be sure the change applies only to
the current section, since you probably don't want to change it for the rest
of the document.
